Probably AVG released an update to make its antivirus compatible with Vista. I see now it offers antivirus or Internet security, no AVG anti-spyware anymore available as stand-alone software. Pity. After purchasing Ewido the Czech guys seem to have made an improvement to their security software.
To my mind, avast has a most user-friendly interface, and its updates are absolutely silent.
