I think I said sometime before Windows Vista launched that Microsoft's PowerShell scripting language and shell would someday be recognized as the more important launch for the late 2006 to early 2007 time period. While PowerShell is still not a household word, the debacle Windows Vista became (in the same league as Windows Me and Microsoft Bob) almost ensures that PowerShell will be the more fondly recalled launch. PowerGUI 1.0.11 is described as a Notepad for PowerShell. But, that doesn't seem to do it justice. Since I'm in-between writing projects, I think I'm going to carve out some time to play with PowerShell and PowerGUI.
