GOM Player: Multi CODEC Video Player

GOM Player
I heard about GOM Player on a recent Windows Weekly podcast. This freeware video player for Microsoft Windows bills itself as Simple, Free, & Light. It just plays! So, I went back to my archives from 1999 when I was playing with CompactFlash digital camera add-on for a Casio Palm-size PC (Windows CE touch screen handheld device that was the precursor to the Windows Mobile Pocket PC). This camera stored its video files in something called a CMF (Casio Movie Format) file type. Surprisingly, the video portion actually played back in GOM Player. The audio was lost, however. I fired up the utility that Casio provided with the CF camera to confirm that the video clip had recorded sound. Even though GOM Player only played the video portion, I was impressed that it played anything at all.

Now, that I remember I have these old CMF files, I need to figure out how to convert them to something more standard like AVI, WMV, or MOV.
