NetBeans IDE 6.1

I'm not a fan of Java or Eclipse. So, I didn't expect much from Sun's recent Java-built IDE release...

NetBeans IDE 6.1

I downloaded the giant 183MB full version only to find out that while it supported Java, C/C++, Ruby and other languages, it did not support PHP. I had to go back and download the 16MB Early Access for PHP version to work with PHP. I've never tried using NetBeans before. So, I was really surprised to find that I liked what I saw after playing with it for a while. It seemed a lot more intuitive than the Eclipse IDE. I'm going to test the full version with Ruby later. If I like what I see, it may stay on my system for a while.
