Vimeo: High-Def Video Sharing


I don't have an HD (high definition video format) video camera. However, I wanted to post a higher quality video of a fireworks show I saw last night. So, I posted my first video to Vimeo: fireworks video last night. I was impressed by the upload process. Vimeo displayed a real-time conversion progress bar. If I didn't want to wait, I could have switched away and waited for an email notification of the conversion completion. My account itself didn't seem to know that I had posted a video for a while (not sure how long this took). However, the video itself was searchable and viewable as soon as the conversion process completed.

Let's see if I can use Vimeo's embed code in this blog...
