DVD Shrink
I mentioned two apps to backup DVDs for Mac OS X users last week. So, here's one for Windows users. I haven't tried it myself. So, please let me know how well it works for you.
Its site describes it like this: DVD Shrink is software to backup DVD discs. You can use this software in conjunction with DVD burning software of your choice, to make a backup copy of any DVD video disc.
Note that it does not burn DVD and requires some other software (it seems to prefer Nero) for that task.

Thanks for the link, just
Thanks for the link, just saved myself some major disc space. I fell kinda foolish but I never knew this sort of thing existed.

Ridiculously easy to use and
Ridiculously easy to use and the integration with Nero is truly seamless and eliminates the need for multiple pieces of software to backup your DVDs.
I would agree very easy, but
I would agree very easy, but DVD Shrink will not work with Nero above version 6.6.0.13 and that version of Nero will not work on Vista. Any suggestions, or can I use a different burn software other than Nero.
dvd shrink 32.0.15 plus
dvd shrink 32.0.15 plus nero 7, work well on a vista ultimate setup. Been using this combination for several months and no ill effects. I first use DVDFAB decrypter to copy entire dvd, then i use dvd shrink to re- auther ( just main movie- my preferance) and it works every time with every DVD movie made to date. So can the nonsense about things not working well. Upgrade your memory , your cpu, your attitude and things go very well. Oh by the way do some more research before you start talking about things not working.Go to other forums about vista, dvd shrink, nero and dvdfab decrypter.
:)
so how did you load nero 7
so how did you load nero 7 on vista ? i tried 3 times and it failed said i needed and update click here did that failed got nero 8 it loaded i got ripit4me dvd decrypter and dvd shrink first 3 trys with vista all failed have not made a coaster yet but spent a lot of time and 60.00 for nero 8 to work with vista almost ready to give up on vista

I'm running Nero 7.8.5.0 and DVDShrink on my Vista machine and it works fine.
I use DVD HD Fab Decrypter
I use DVD HD Fab Decrypter ONLY when i need to remove any copyright stuff or encrypting on my dvds. But I first start with DVD Shrink. Most of the time I don't have to use the decrypter (which eliminates a 30+ minute step!). Then i use ImgBurn (freeware). Has worked every single time. Very easy to use. Just use it in Build mode.
I have used this because I have Parallels for Mac and run Win2K SP4. But i want to start using MacTheRipper, but am having trouble finding Shrink & Burn freeware. Any suggestions?
