Microsoft Virtual Machine Remote Control Client Plus (VMRCplus)

Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 (say that 5 times fast) is managed through an Internet Explorer web interface (ActiveX is involved for some functions). However, Microsoft released a formerly in-house tool as a free unsupported utility today.

This client software is specific to the recent R2 SP1 production release and emits a warning if you try to install it on the Release Candidate (which expires in a few months). It seemed a bit too sensitive to me. I accidentally started a stopped virtual machine while trying it out. Fortunately, it was on a test server. So, it didn't cause a problem. It is interesting. But, the web interface manager seems more suitable for production use.
