Audacity 1.2.5 and 1.3.2-Beta Available (Multiplatform)

Audacity is a great Open Source audio editor that runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. It provides powerful audio editing features with an easy to use graphical editor. The project released the latest production (1.2.5) and beta (1.3.2) versions. Intel Mac users will be happy to learn that the 1.2.5 production release provides a Universal Binary version and fixes some audio problems found in 1.2.4. I first took note of Audacity when I toyed with the idea of creating a podcast/netcast and went looking for a FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) solution. If you are doing the same, you might want to take a look at Audacity before spending money on proprietary solutions.
