Microsoft's Open Source Web Site

Microsoft's main website (Microsoft.com) opened up a web area with the unlikely URL of...
http://www.microsoft.com/opensource
...and, as far as I can tell, this is not a FUD site (and there's no sign of snow in downtown Honolulu either). Combine this with them submitting two of their licensing schemes to the OSI for approval as Open Source licenses, and we have an interesting (and long awaited) situation brewing. I'm very pleased to see a lack of what I call shrillness in this site.
As I mentioned a few months ago, I was able to meet with a number of people at the Microsoft Open Source Labs back in March. I was very impressed by the team there and have been waiting for something like to emege from their efforts. It will be very interesting to see what emerges from this initial foot forward over the next few months.
You can follow the thoughts of the Microsoft Open Source Lab team on their blog found at:

Port 25 has done some nifty
Port 25 has done some nifty stuff. It's definitely a step in the right direction for Microsoft. However... It seems like this site is just a way for them to ingratiate themselves to the open source world.
It's not FUD, but after poking around the site a little, it seems to mainly be to encourage people to use Microsoft development tools. There are no links to any current open source projects. It's like they are just informing people of the existence of open source...
Just my $0.02.
