PCLive.com: Free Windows Security Suite
PCLive.com provides both a for-fee and a freeware security suite for Microsoft Windows. The difference between free and for-fee is that the $4.95/month (seems kind of expensive, btw, since other vendors provide a 3-PC license for around $40 or less) includes Diskeeper (which, perhaps, justifies the higher cost for PCLive), web content filtering (eh...), and support.
I found it interesting that the anti-virus component uses the Open Source ClamWin (based on the ClamAV engine) anti-virus product.
I wonder if there are good freeware or Open Source analogs of GoBack (restore to a working version) and Diskeeper (defragmentation). I've tried a couple of freeware disk defragmenters am generally not impressed by what I've tried so far. I've never seen an F/FOSS GoBack analog yet.

I downloaded the PCLive
I downloaded the PCLive Security Suite the other day. It took hours for it to unpack and do a background scan. When it was done (or at least I think it was done), it more or less hi-jacked my computer and I could not do anything without it taking forever. Also, when I was downloading things (which I download to my desktop) I got an error message saying that
I could not download there. I also did a complete scan, figuring maybe that would help. It was taking over five hours to do the scan, so I quit it and did a system restore on my computer, which also took forever, now my computer is back to running perfectly. I do not recommend PCLive!
