Microsoft Live Mesh

My Microsoft Live Mesh account was activated today. Live Mesh is a combination web service plus client software. I installed the Mesh client software on a PC and synchronized a folder containing a PowerPoint file to it. Then, I turned off the first PC and went to a second PC and did NOT install anything on it. The second PC could see that there is a synchronized Windows PC but correctly noted that it was turned off. However, I could retrieve the previously synchronized PowerPoint file from the Mesh Desktop. After accepting a warning message, PowerPoint on the second desktop started up and displayed the PowerPoint file.
Support for the Mac and unnamed Mobile Devices (hopefully Windows Mobile which is what I use) is in the queue to be supported by this service. I'm looking forward to testing these Mesh on these platforms as they become available. However, I'm guessing that Enterprise IT support staff are now squirming in at their help desks if Mesh can sync with PCs inside of corporate firewalls.
