uTorrent Overtakes Azureus?
I just followed a link from Techmeme (which has replaced Digg as my source for tech news) over to an article on TorrentFreak reporting that Filesharing Report Shows Explosive Growth for uTorrent. The report says that uTorrent is now the most installed bittorrent client overtaking the Open Source Azureus torrent client. This is kind of interesting since uTorrent is a Windows-only freeware app while Azureus is a Java-based multi-platform app that pretty much runs on anything. The only thing I download using a bittorrent are Linux distros. This is so infrequent that I've never looked beyond Azureus after I found it years ago. What are you using for bittorrent downloads?

Sure, uTorrent uses less CPU
Sure, uTorrent uses less CPU and RAM, that's why people like it. On the other hand it's closed source... How can you be sure what kind of sh*t the devs will put there? DRM protection, copyright tracking??
