Here's the description on its website: You keep Windows as it is, Wubi only adds an extra option to boot into Ubuntu. Wubi does not require you to modify the partitions of your PC, or to use a different bootloader, and does not install special drivers. It works just like any other application. Wubi is spyware and malware free, and being open source, anyone can verify that.

Yeah, i just tried it. I got vista on on HD on the other one i installed "inside Windows" the ubuntu. it works very nicely, but i'm a newbie on ubuntu so i can't figure it out why i don't have internet when booting to ubuntu. could it be because of what you mentioned, that liks "inside Windows" ubuntu doesn't install drivers?!
anyway my BIG question is - i'd be happy to have an answer after hours of fruitless googling- how can i remove ubuntu now? just delete it from the drive?! thanks

You simply need to uninstall

You simply need to uninstall "Wubi" application. That should do the trick.
