New Microsoft Live Search Actually Seems Better

I at the Steve Ballmer keynote during the Microsoft MVP Summit in Seattle last month when he looked sort of stunned that so few people used Yahoo for search. He knew that Microsoft's own Live Search was a distant 3rd, but the informal Yahoo poll there surprised him. He then asked the assembled MVPs to at least give the new Live Search version a try when it became available. Well, it is out now. And, I'm sort of surprised that I like it. The problem is I'm not quite sure why. It doesn't return as many results as Google. But, it my informal tests seems to return more, hmm, useful results in the smaller set returned by Live Search. If you can figure out why it seems better than before (other than a fuzzy subjective feeling like mine), please let me know.
