Transmission: Mac BitTorrent Client

Transmission is an Open Source Mac (also Linux) BitTorrent client that seems to be getting some buzz. I've never used a BitTorrent client on my Mac (the only place I used it is on my Linux box to download various gigantic Linux ISO files). If you've tried Transmission, let us know how it is working for you.

i downloaded transmission but

i downloaded transmission but i am a new mac owner and i can't figure out how to start it i tried opening a torrent file and it didnt even initialize. if anyone could help me it would be greatly apreciated. thanx

Just started using

Just started using Transmission yesterday. I recently switched to Mac from XP, where I had my favorite µTorrent. Transmission is built along the same lines, fast, simple and free.

I like transmission a whole

I like transmission a whole lot. Good control over individual torrents, but the biggest feature is the ability to dial in bandwidth on a timer. In the evening, when my wife and I are both using the internet, a Transmission session can be limited to, say, 30 Kbps, but be set to automatically use all available bandwidth between midnight and 5:30 AM.
