As a long time PHP coder, this brings a whole new slant to Azure for me. The article also notes that while only PHP has been fully tested with FastCGI, Microsoft's Prashant Ketkar, director of product marketing for cloud infrastructure services at Microsoft, is quoted as saying that: There is no reason that Ruby won't work through that same FastCGI interface. Having spent a bit of time using Ruby to write small Linux utilities, this makes it even more interesting.
