Google Calendar Sync with Microsoft Outlook Problem: Multiple Outlook Processes Launched

My main calendar for the past couple of months has been Google Calendar. The main reason is that its OTA (over the air) sync with the iPhone works great. It also syncs with Apple's iCal app pretty well too. However, Google Sync with Microsoft Outlook is a big problem. I have Google Calendar sync with Outlook a couple times per hours when I am using a Microsoft Windows PC. The problem is that every time Google Sync fires up to do that, it launches a new Outlook process. You can see the result in the screen shot above. These multiple Outlook processes grind the PC to a crawl. The workaround is to manually terminate the Google Sync process as well as all the extra Outlook processes. But, this is a giant annoyance. If anyone knows of a way to get Google Sync to use an existing Outlook process, please let me know.
