Microsoft’s msnNow (now.msn.com) is kind of like Flipboard (the iPad app) for the web. It draws news items based on Bing searches and trends on Facebook and Twitter.
Its problem, from what I see so far, is that most of the items trending to the top are mostly about pop culture with no apparent way to tune it to your own interests or to draw on crowdsourced curation by people you follow on social networks (as Flipboard does). The end result? I don’t think I’ll visit this site very often. Bing News does a better job of showing me things that are interesting.
