I signed up for Prime at the beginning of the year and I've made a dozen or so purchases since then. Even though their stated delivery time is 3-7 days, I've noticed that delivery is usually within 2-3 days for 80% of my orders. The downside is that there is no way to know which 20% falls in the 7 day window. And my experience with Amazon's delivery has been on the extreme ends of that window. That 80% is delivered on the 2nd day unless it bumps up against a weekend. And the 20% takes the full 7 days.

There is no consistency in delivery methods either. I order a lot of coffee pods for the office and they are delivered via UPS and USPS. The same box of pods could be shipped via UPS one day and USPS the next.

I don't understand this policy, and from the sound of it, neither do they. Consider:
"We currently use UPS, FedEx, the U.S. Postal Service, and several local carriers for standard domestic shipments, depending on the weight of the package and the distance it has to travel from our fulfillment center."

They're telling you that they use multiple shippers, but not what that meAns for delivery time.

"Packages shipped to a P.O. box can only be sent via the U.S. Postal Service."

Ok, but does this mean faster shipping time or slower shipping time?

"You can select two-day or one-day shipping to reduce the likelihood that your package will be delivered by the U.S. Postal Service."

This implies that USPS is a slower choice as it tells you how to game the system to avoid it.

"If you have a P.O. box, you may want to consider shipping eligible items to it."

But this implies the opposite - that it's desirable (in terms of speed) to consider shipping to it.

Frankly, this leaves me more confused than when I started.

Ive been having problems with iCloud and my apple tv. Three movies that iourchases do not show up under Purchased. It's been very frustrating working with apple on this issue. I've pretty much given up on apple support. I've had a very unpleasant experience with them in this issue, which is uncharacteristic of apple support.

I'm still getting used to the new interface. I too used to the old interface. Also, the Netflix app was acting up. I couldn't pick certain films and tv shows. I hope apple fixes this soon.

I saw the first episode yesterday and think it’s pretty good but don’t know how much it will really do for the company. When I had Netflix’s streaming service, I got tired of never being able to find what I wanted to watch and I hear that is a common issue. I got Blockbuster @Home through my employer, DISH, and the experience is totally different. It’s much better and actually gives me movies I want to watch; that’s what Netflix should be trying to do.

Nice article on the Mavica. My school still has one in the closet. I remember when we bought that camera. It was checked out constantly. I'm gonna pull it back out and let my sixth graders mess around with it. Our classroom PCs still have floppy drives, so we should be golden. Now if I can just get
my hands on some AOL floppies!
