Apple is scheduled to make some kind of announcement related to education this week Thursday (Jan. 19). No one outside of Apple and, presumably, its partners knows what the announcement is about. However, speculation is high. And, as Fortune’s Philip Elmer-DeWitt wrote:

I have no insight about what will be announced. But, I was amused to find that iSchool.com redirects to Apple.com This may not mean anything, however, since the domain was first registered on Feb. 27, 1996. Then again…
