Firefox icon invisible in dock in Mac OS X Snow Leopard

I found Mac OS X 10.7 Lion slowed my Macbook Air so much that I decided to leave my iMac running Snow Leopard. I just noticed that the Firefox icon is invisible in Snow Leopard’s dock. Hovering over the empty spot brings up a text tip. And clicking the empty spot with a mouse launches the software. However, the icon is invisible.
